1. If
you have a firewall on your computer, you may not be able to "chat" with
a librarian. If you can, please disable it. If that is not an
option, you
can
still ask a question via
e-mail. Click on your Library's name to see a link for asking e-mail
questions. (24/7 is currently working on a solution)
2. 24/7-IM is made possible through the cooperation of other academic libraries in the U.S. and Canada. As a result, you may not be "talking" to a librarian from your school. Please make sure to identify yourself so that the librarian knows where you are from.
3. If you need help with
a specific database, then it is important to know the remote
access instructions for your college/university.
Please make sure you have your login and password handy, this will
speed up the process.
