David (Allan) Sucec ("S") (1937-). At one time or another, Sucec has been a member of the Salt Lake Art Center faculty and/or staff, a college professor, a specialist in "color painting," a curator; a preparator of exhibition installations, a multimedia works specialist, special investigator-processor of Utah's ancient arts and the Utah environment, and a kind of "arts activist," which is rare in Utah but marvelous to have here. Sucec attended San Diego State and San Francisco State (M.F.A.). He was a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth, and taught courses for Western Illinois University, the University of Minnesota, Purdue University, as well as the University of Utah's Division of Continuing Education as an associate instructor of the Department of Art. He has exhibited his varied work widely.
